Waldo Dwight
Gullickson passed away on November 3, 2012. He was born in Hettinger, North Dakota on June 6, 1924. He is preceded in death by his parents Frederick Ernest and Ida Gullickson and by his brother Gerald Gullickson. He is survived by his wife Betty Gullickson, his sister Juanita Gullickson Norton and husband Lloyd of Hayward California, his sons David Gullickson and wife Connie of Houston, Douglas Gullickson and his wife Judy of Austin, Gregory Gullickson and his wife Julia of Austin, his grandchildren Clark David Gullickson, Emery Lane Gullickson Richards and husband Neal, Graham Douglas Gullickson, Cortney Parkhurst, and David Pfahler, his nephews and nieces Bonnie Norton Sanchez, Les Norton, Robert Norton, John Robertson, Mark Robertson, Mary-Jane Jackson, Margaret Forkheim, Charles Robertson, and David Robertson and their families.
He is veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Navy. He graduated from the University of Minnesota, earning a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He used his talents as a geophysicist working for Superior Oil Company, Chevron, Texas Instruments, Bendix, and Gulf Oil Company. He was a fifty year member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists. He was a docent for the Museum of Natural Science, in which he loved the Hall of Malacology. He was a member of the Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church.
Memorial service will be held at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, 11612 Memorial Drive in Houston, Saturday, November 10 at 11:00 in the morning.
