ARANCIO, Rocco Anthony
(1939 - 2014) Arancio, Rocco Anthony, April 16, 1939 -
February  20, 2014.  Rocco Anthony Arancio  died  Feb-
ruary 20, 2014, in Austin, TX where he resided.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, March
7th, 2014 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Austin,
TX. Refreshments will be served in Brennan Hall on the
church grounds immediately after  the service.  He will be interred in
the Memorial Garden later that day.  Rocco Arancio was born April  16,
1939, in  Staten Island, NY, to  Joseph and Grace Arancio.  He grew up
in  Staten Island and graduated from St. Peter's  High School  in 1957.
He  earned his  Associates Degree  in  Electrical  Engineering  at RCA
Institute  in  New York, NY, then  entered the United States Air Force
and was  stationed  in  Sherman, TX.  He  married  Georgia  Hughes  on
November 24, 1962, in  Dallas, TX, and had two children, Ronda Denise,
born in 1963  and  Darryl Lawrence, born in 1965.  Rocco Arancio was a
member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Austin, TX.  He worked on
some of the earliest mainframe computers for Geophysical Services Inc.
and  Texas  Instruments  for  over  32 years, residing in Houston, Los
Angeles, The Netherlands, and Austin.  He was  a  loving  husband  and
father, doting grandfather, and  an  avid reader and golfer.  He was a
loyal New York Yankees fan since childhood, and an enthusiastic Dallas
Cowboys fan since the clubs' inception.  He  is  survived by his wife,
Georgia Arancio, daughter Ronda Patterson, son Darryl Arancio,  grand-
daughters  Ashlee Lynn Patterson and Elise Marie Arancio, and grandson
Anthony Joseph Arancio. He is also survived  by  his  sister  Roseanne
McGill  and  brother  in-law William McGill, and nieces Graceann Banta
and Jodiann McGill and their families.
