Freddie Kennedy was born  on  January 19, 1941, in  Wichita
Falls, Texas, to James and Ruth Kennedy, and on May 7, 2012,
passed on to another life and adventure.

The memorial service will be conducted at 2:00p.m. Thursday,
May 10, 2012, in the chapel of Owens  and  Brumley  Funeral
Home with Pastor Randal  Searcy  officiating.  Arrangements
are  under  the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita
Falls.

Freddie graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1959.  He attended
North Texas State University and Midwestern University.  He met Jackie
Sims in December of 1960, and they were married in  Wichita  Falls  on
May 27, 1961.

Freddie started working at Parker’s Grocery while in  high  school. In
1965  he  started  a  new  career  in the oil exploration business and
relocated to Dallas, Texas. This new profession  included  the  oppor-
tunity for travel and for many new career opportunities.  Freddie  and
his family traveled and worked  in  California, Alaska, South  America,
Colorado and Canada.

Freddie is survived by his  loving  wife, Jackie  Kennedy  of  Wichita
Falls;  daughter,  Kerry Berend and husband, Billy, of Loving, TX; son,
Freddie (Blu) Kennedy, Jr. and wife, Shannon, of Wichita Falls; grand-
children: Cory Berend, Grant Berend and Matthew Kennedy; parents James
and  Ruth  Kennedy  of Wichita Falls; mother-in-law, Alma Sims of Iowa
Park; brothers, Jimmy Kennedy and wife, Cynthia of Fort Worth, TX; and
Gary Kennedy and wife, Cheri, of Mesquite, TX; friends/brothers of  47
years, Gary Bennett and wife, Dianne of Sadler, TX and  John  Paschall
of Houston, TX.

The family will receive friends and family from 7:00  until  8:00  p.m.
Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at the funeral home.

For  those  desiring, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of
Wichita Falls and/or Arrowhead Ranch Estates Volunteer Fire Department
of Wichita Falls.
