Dan R. Zalog died on Sunday, November 20th  at  Physician's
Regional  Hospital in Naples, Florida.  He was born January
26, 1926 In Lorain to the late  Demeter and Mary Zalog.  He
was  raised in Lorain and graduated from Lorain High School
in 1943. After graduation he served in the U.S. Navy aboard
the escort carrier Attu in the Pacific Theater during World
War II.   He  later  attended  Kent  State  University  and
finished his education at  the  University  of  New  Mexico
where  he  graduated  with  a  degree  in geology.  He was employed by
Geophysical Services, a division of Texas Instruments.  While  working
for  them, he  spent  time  in  Texas, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado  and
Brazil in the search of oil.  Upon retirement, he moved to St. Thomas,
Virgin Islands for two years and then Christainsted, Saint  Croix  for
another twenty years before returning to the United States. He settled
in Naples, Florida where he remained until his death.

Surviving him is his wife Phyllis (nee Marter), a son Mark, one brother
Paul of Boca Raton, Fla. and three sisters Anne  of  Encinitas, CA, Pat
of Compton, CA and Pauline of Spokane, WA.
